Submission Method:

• Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Electronic submissions must be sent to 3krblaikie@gmail.com with the subject line: “Sealed Bid Submission – Item #/Name”. Submission message should include: Bidder's name, phone number, and bid amount. 

• Assets owned by Edwin Blaikie Lumber Limited are subject to HST. (The item description will indicate whether the item is taxable.) The HST will be added to the bid price of the successful bidder at the time of invoicing / payment.

• Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation message that your submission has been received.

Bid Deadline:
All bids must be received prior to the closing date and time. Late bids will not be considered, regardless of postmark or email timestamp.

Opening and Evaluation of Bids:

• Bids will be reviewed by the Auction Committee. 

• The highest compliant bid for each lot will normally be recommended for acceptance. 

• The seller reserves the right to: Reject any or all bids; withdraw any item from sale at any time prior to award.

Payment Terms: 

• Successful bidders will be notified by email within 3 business days of auction closing. 

• Payment in full must be received within 3 business days of notification.

• Acceptable forms of payment: Cash, bank draft, or electronic funds transfer (EFT)

 
Equipment Pickup:

• All items are located in Upper Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. 

• Pickup location will be provided to successful bidder.

• Equipment must be removed within 7 business days after full payment is received.

• Arrangements must be made with sellers for date/time to pick up equipment.

• Removal is at the buyer’s sole expense, risk, and responsibility.

• The seller will not provide loading assistance unless otherwise stated. 

• Repairs for any damage to property during removal shall be the responsibility of the purchaser.

Condition of Equipment: 

• All equipment is sold as-is, where-is, with no warranties as to condition, fitness for purpose, or re-sale.

• Equipment descriptions are provided for convenience only and are not guaranteed accurate.

Withdrawl of Bids: 

• Bids may be withdrawn by written notice prior to the submission deadline only.

• No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time.

Acceptance of Terms:
Submission of a sealed bid constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms and conditions in full.
